Starting with a prototype bike lock which would open and close automatically when applied to your bike, the three-man crew from Brandenburg an der Havel had my interest for a bachelor thesis. I visited them for interviews, shooting and to get to know the functionality of that mobile app-driven bike lock. Many hours and sketches later the appropriate Logo and the corresponding Corporate Design was born.
As the product was already named »I lock it« I had to work with that and try to achieve a solution where legibility and simplification would merge.
The concept for corporate imagery – aiming at a young, dynamic, hipsteresque target group – joined the distinctive but clear and geometrical „Nobel“ from the Dutch Type Library.
The resulting corporate design included a simple iPad-based Website. It reflects well the emotional component of the branding and consists of six sites, which are scrolled horizontally.
